Doctor Who: The Mad Lord by mpjawka Doctor Who: The Mad Lord by mpjawka
Ink and marker. Thinking of giving photoshop colours another go. We'll see. I started this with high hopes for "Let's Kill Hitler" and the whole second half of the season and am now soooo bitterly disheartened i might have to re-evaluate my commitment to a series that i have thus far so enjoyed. sigh.

I quite like this picture! He has a very mad and possibly dangerous look to him here. Awesome job! :)

I imagine it is hard to make a mop and fez look dangerous so kudos on that for sure!

Agreed: the Fez is NOT the most menacing of head-wear, but the Doctor is a strange fellow. Thank you again. I have to say, i really enjoyed your latest work too, your Painted Wings... and i like your inspiration too. The question is, were you looking at that catalogue for yourself? ;) Maybe ill take a look myself and find some inspiration too! Suggestions?

Haha well I think after a few hundred years you start to not care what people think and really wear any head gear that takes your fancy.

Oh thank you I am glad you looked through my gallery! Haha yes I was looking at the catalog for myself. XD I just went in there and grabbed one on the way out. Apparently the fashion show is coming up soon as well! So I am definitely going to check that out. I love drawing beautiful curvaceous women!

I really hope you don't, I mean, if you can make it through the Slitheen, Idiots Lantern, Love and Monsters, AND a giant CG wasp, I really hope you can make it through this. Or you could look at it this way... out of the eleven stories that Steven Moffat has written, he only has one other (generally considered by most others) dud, that's still a pretty impressive record.

Granted Moffat's record has been great, and as an individual episode Lets Kill Hitler isnt all that bad. It surely has very poignant high points, especially with Amelia. BUT, i simply do not like, AT ALL, what they did with River. It just doesnt mesh with the mythology i have built in my mind. To me Melody Pond was to be the ultimate companion... Someone the Doctor as much raises as anything else, and by doing so helps him move beyond all the grief he's been suffering. FURTHERMORE, if we accept Moffat's established timelines then we actually don't get to see River again. They have mentioned several times that River and the Doctor are moving in opposite directions in time, and now we have seen the creation of River.. so.. that's it... boo. next time we see her she gets to kill the doctor. just.. not ... ok.
